So a couple of winners....

I just wanted to quickly draw your attention to a layout in the gallery by Julene. It's called 'Let them eat cake' and Julene explained to me that her interpretation of the tricky 'speech bubble' puzzle piece, was that she took it to be a Quote and so there's no speech bubble on her page - she has used it in this unique way with her title being a quote by Marie-Antoinette. I just loved this idea! Thanks for letting me share it with everyone Julene!

The other thing to note about july's gallery - you may have noticed that I have taken a few liberties with some of the titles. I do apologise, but almost every layout has been called 'Once Upon a Time' which is great! But in order to avoid confusion at voting time, I have, where possible, re-titled some entries using the sub title or other journalling prompts on the page so your layout is more recognisable against all the others of the same title!

July sees some new monthly challenges and changes to a few old ones in the forum. The Book of Me challenge will now take place over the next 12 months with a FREE album at the end just for completing all the LOs.

Interested in Hybrid? Join Anne each month as she challenges you to use your computer to create some unique pages (her July layout is gorgeous!).

Our blog will be featuring a new Australian Celebrity Scrapper each month. Some may be well known, others not so much but are personal favourites of our team. New puzzle pieces for July and a Creative Team call

So, it's July already!!! That's just crazy talk!!

I have lots to say today...

First up, new pieces:

TRICKY ONES!

So, 'Once upon a time...' What does this mean to you? Is it a title suggestion? A journalling prompt? A theme? You'd probably get away with a dress-ups photo or journalling about a love of reading. Or maybe you interpret this piece more literally and will have fun with it as a title or a start to some playful journalling?

A few different ideas coming your way in the next few days. Starting with this one from Toni:

Toni has used American Crafts thickers from Scrap Therapy where all alphabets are currently 20% off! Yes, including the massive range of thickers and Carolees Creations tiny alphas! Bargain!

You too can play with goodies from our DT sponsor, Scrap Therapy! Enter our Creative Team call!! We are looking for 4 talented scrappers. All you have to do is create a layout using July's pieces and email it in along with a blog link if you have one. You will be eligible for July's prizes, including the Early Bird rolls the dice prize of a $15 voucher to spend at Roll 2 Create. So send them in quick. We vote as usual on 1 August.

The public vote will NOT decide the Creative Team, though it may influence our decision.

Creative Team members will be expected to produce one sample layout each for the months of September, October, November and December 2009.

You will be given 3 weeks to produce your sample using your own stash for 3 out of the 4 months and a sponsor-provided pack for 1 out of the 4 months.

Each month in the 4 month term, one CT member will be sent a care package from DT sponsor, Scrap Therapy.

Creative Team members will be expected to promote Puzzle Sketches where possible.

Creative Team members will STILL be eligible to win blog candies, but will no longer be eligible to win monthly prizes during their term.
